Weight Management Class Offered For Pregnant Moms-To-Be

The Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Management is offering a new class, Weight Management for Pregnant Mommas. The class will meet August 19 and 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Management, 9100 Wescott Drive, Suite 102 in Raritan Township.

A Registered Dietitian will discuss:
- Starting a pregnancy with extra pounds?
- Eating for two? How many calories you really need.
- Portions distorted? How to plan your plate.
- Confused in the grocery store? How to decipher labels.
- How to plan quick, healthy and pregnancy friendly meals.
-After the baby, then what? Post pregnancy weight loss tips.

The fee for this class series is $50. With completion of both classes, participants can choose to receive a $35 voucher towards Childbirth Education classes at Hunterdon Medical Center or a $20 Shop-Rite gift card sponsored by the Central NJ Maternal Child Health Consortium.
