The Hunterdon Walking and Social Singles Club recently celebrated its fifteenth anniversary with a swim party at a member’s pool and is seeking new members. In addition to bringing together local single, divorced and widowed people ages 40 and up by meeting at various Hunterdon County parks every Sunday at 5 pm to walk, talk and get to know each other, the club continues the camaraderie by dining at a local restaurant. At other times, members who choose to be included in other social activities, such as movies, theatre, house parties and dinners, are free to do so. Many friends and mates have been found by participating in the walks since the club’s inception in 1995. There are no dues, officers, meetings or by-laws and one can become a member simply by calling 908-788-7072 to find the location of the next walk.
