WoodbridgeNJ commented on the blog post Woodbridge school bus cuts slammed by parents who’d be willing to pay 1 year, 5 months ago · View
There was never a time when parents could not pay for transportation for their children. If you would like to have somebody else transport your children all you need to do is pick up the phone and contact one of the many taxi companies in the Township.

Drinking the beer at JJ’s is great but being able to take home a fresh growler of beer right from the brewery…..where else can you do that in the area?

There is a Farm Market open 7 days a week on Main Street. It’s tough to see because the Town won’t trim the tree in front of it.

Judy Leidner doesn’t “understand why, to begin with, the board went with Chartwells at all?” Really? Could someone please toss her a clue. Seriously.

WoodbridgeNJ commented on the blog post Plan to sell liquor at Wegmans in Woodbridge met with resistance 1 year, 7 months ago · View
JMichael- Genius idea you’ve got there, mandating minimum markups. Drive another nail in the coffin that capitalism is resting in. Can you try to get the government to control senseless internet posts like yours while you’re at it? We might as well lose our freedom of speech too.

WoodbridgeNJ commented on the blog post Plan to sell liquor at Wegmans in Woodbridge met with resistance 1 year, 7 months ago · View
“Velasco, whose family owned a liquor store for nearly 30 years in Union County, said her biggest worry is how Wegmans might impact small retailers. “Small business is the backbone of our downtowns. There are a lot of vacancies right now in our downtown streets. This would hurt some of them right now.”” Does this [...]

Leslie “Lee” Vetland? As in Lee’s Auto Body?
The mayor insists Lonuzzi wants to build on the property. If that were the case, Lonuzzi would have sold the liquor license to someone who could actually use it.

WoodbridgeNJ commented on the blog post Tom Maras: Are Woodbridge taxpayers getting their money’s worth? 1 year, 8 months ago · View
I voted for Mr. Maras last month. Unfortunately, there weren’t enough voters who could see how capable Mr. Maras is of being a critical thinker with no conflicting self-interests while striving to achieve improvements to our Township. I hope readers of this piece take notice.

From http://www.mycentraljersey.com/article/20090123/STATE/90123005/State-sues-Sansone-auto-dealers-in-Woodbridge–charging-consumer-fraud-violations “It’s disturbing that two of these dealerships allegedly engaged in the same deceptive conduct that they pledged to stop back in 2004,” Consumer Affairs Director David Szuchman said. “We will seek enhanced penalties for these violations, as allowed in the 2004 Consent Order. And we want these consumer abuses to stop, once and [...]

WoodbridgeNJ commented on the blog post Gov. Christie on budget cuts: ‘I had no choice’ — Take our poll 1 year, 8 months ago · View
Who put this poll together? You shouldn’t have “Yes, but Woodbridge was hit too hard” as an choice without having “Yes, but Woodbridge wasn’t hit hard enough.”

It’s not the first time Mr. Sansone has been found guilty or has settled fraud charges. Search the NJ Consumer Affairs site or Google. It’s amazing that people continue to support his businesses. Even more amazing that he’s legally able to continue operating.

WoodbridgeNJ commented on the blog post School board member says Woodbridge mayor’s Colonia Country Club plan is right move 1 year, 9 months ago · View
Living 1/2 a mile from the CC gives you a perspective 99% of the rest of the Township does not share. Please don’t confuse logic with intelligence. Logic is merely one form of thinking skill. I’m disappointed that a member of our school board doesn’t understand this. The intelligent person will not share your view. [...]

Thank you Gov. Christie, for forcing the town administrators to make changes that could have and should have been made many, many years ago. The incompetent boobs that run our township only act when held to the fire. There is no reason why the school cafeteria and custodial workers couldn’t be privatized 10 years ago. [...]

So, local tax revenues cover a smaller percentage of the school budgets in Carteret, East Brunswick, Monroe, New Brunswick, North Brunswick, Old Bridge, Perth Amboy, Piscataway, Sayreville and South Brunswick because the taxpayers in those towns vote? Christie received the majority of Woodbridge’s votes because we don’t want the State’s financial hole dug any deeper. [...]

“Woodbridge spends…” is not relevant. What is important is what WOODBRIDGE TAXPAYERS PAY. The astute reader will recognize the difference. For those requiring further explanation, read on. Woodbridge Township wants to spend $183 million for the 2010 school year. Where does that money come from, you ask? Well, some of it comes from the Woodbridge [...]
